Who we are
Westgate Fastenings Limited is the controller of the personal information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 06039334, with our registered office at Viking Road, Gapton Hall Industrial Estate, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk NR31 0NU.
For any question about your information, email sales@westgatefastenings.co.uk, call 01493 603207 or write to us at the address above.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use the enquiry form, email or phone us, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the details of what you need, including a delivery postcode or country.
- Trade account applications. The application form asks for your business name and address, company and VAT numbers, a contact name, position, phone number, email address and signature.
- Orders and deliveries. To supply and deliver goods we keep order details, delivery addresses and contact numbers.
How we use it and why
- To reply to enquiries and give quotes. We do this because it's in our legitimate interests to answer people who contact us, and because you've asked us to take steps before placing an order.
- To open and run trade accounts, supply goods and arrange delivery. This is necessary for our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records. This is a legal obligation.
We don't sell your information, and we won't send you marketing unless you've asked us to.
Who we share it with
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions on our behalf.
- Couriers and shipping companies, when we deliver to you. They receive your name, delivery address and phone number.
- Our accountants, HMRC and other authorities, where the law requires it.
Netlify is based in the United States, so form submissions may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to an order are deleted within 12 months.
- Trade account, order and invoice records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires.
Cookies
This website doesn't set cookies or use tracking scripts. If that changes, we'll update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to how we use it. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
